Little Pennsboro Speedway rules & classes

General Rules

1. All racers must wear: a full face Snell approved helmet with face shield, neck collar/support, jacket without hood (preferably nomex or leather), gloves, pants without holes, and closed toed shoes.

2. Lead must be mounted with a bolt through the lead, double nutted or nutted and cotter keyed, painted white with the kart number on it. Karts can and will undergo a safety check. 6” numbers.

3. If brake disc is located under seat it must have a metal shield/guard covering it.

4. You must weigh the specified weight on scales immediately after each race.

5. If you receive 2 black flags you are finished racing for that day. If you cause 2 yellows per race (heats and features), you will be black flagged.

6. Only track officials are permitted beyond the gates onto the track area. Persons in the pit area must have signed the liability release form and code of conduct form.

7. Absolutely no fighting, profanity, or arguing with officials at the Speedway. Any violation of this rule may result in the immediate expulsion from the premise with no refund. This also applies in destruction of track or personal property. Stay in your pit stall and control your pit crew.

8. Any rule may be added, changed, or modified at any time by the race director/owner only, in order to provide a safe, competitive race environment. Only the race director/owner has final say of interpretation and application of any rule.

9. All kart classes can or will be teched. The number of karts in each class to be teched will be at the sole discretion of the director/owner. If a kart is deemed illegal, the racer will forfeit all points and winnings for that race.

10. Anyone under the age of 18 years old will need a proof of birth certificate to determine which class they are eligible for. 15 year olds can run either kid or adult clone, not both.

MINI WEDGES:

Rookie purple plate clone 6-10 year old 345 lbs

Veteran unrestricted clone 11-15 year old 345 lbs

Using current WRA rules.

Hoosier or Burris 22 tires.

KIDS CLASSES:

Junior 2 purple plate 8-12 year old 280lbs

Junior 3 blue plate 12-15 year old 310lbs

You will run the class you started the year on, you may move up in class but once you move up you may not move back down or run 2 classes. This applies to all kids classes.

1. Must utilize 2022 or 2023 AKRA Box stock motor rules for clone motors.

2. Open pipe, muffler required, total exhaust may not extend beyond the rear bumper.

3. Chain guard is mandatory. Open clutch rule, drum or disc clutch permitted.

4. Only 87 octane pump gas is permitted. Any other fuel or additive is prohibited.

5. Pull starter must be present and remain stock.

6. Burris slick tire rule, no treaded or siped tires permitted.

7. Must wear chest protector.

BOX STOCK PREDATOR 360 lbs.

Only Predator (Hemi and non-Hemi) 212 cc 2 valve OHV motors permitted. The engine is to be right out of the box. Governor must remain in the engine and operate properly. Can not over ride the governor with hand, string or any other mechanical lever. Can Stock muffler and air filter and box must be ran with no modifications and no holes. Must have factory installed key way. Engine can not turn more than 5500 RPM max and must pulse. Vent tube on tank can be disconnected or plugged and have one 1/4" hole drilled in the factory tank gas cap. Low oil sensor can be unplugged but not removed. Any engine can be claimed for $175 after the race and the track has the right to claim any engine for any reason.

2. Only 87 octane pump gas is permitted. Any other fuel or additive is prohibited.

3. Pull starter must be present and remain stock.

4. Burris slick tire rule, no treaded or siped tires permitted.

5. Minimum age requirement is 13 years old.

6. No Predator Ghost motors permitted.

7. Engine claim class that does not include chain guard, clutch or throttle body.

PREDATOR 350 and 400 lbs: (200lb minimum driver in Predator 400 without gear)

Only Predator (Hemi and non-Hemi) 212 cc 2 valve OHV motors permitted. Stock flywheel must be replaced with a non-stock non cast flywheel (for example billet steel or aluminum). You may, (but not required to), remove: gas tank, governor, throttle arm, and low oil sensor. You may relocate gas tank to floor pan and replace with top plate and pulse type fuel pump with one line connected to valve cover. 31 max main carb jet rule. Stock air filter and box must be ran with no modifications. You may use any 212cc Predator unaltered stock exhaust or unaltered RLV-91 muffler (wienie pipe) with header not to exceed .750” OD tubing and total length of exhaust must be between 10” and 15”. Valve springs may not test over 10.8 lbs at .850” and 18.0 lbs at .650”. No other changes, modifications, or alterations are permitted to motor besides what is listed including polishing or cutting the heads. Parts are subjected to be compared to a stock predator internally including cam, rod, piston, valves and crank.

1. Max main carb jet rule of 31. A no go 32 tech tool will be used. SP carburetors only.

2. Chain guard is mandatory. Drum shoe clutch only, disc clutches prohibited.

3. Only 87 octane pump gas is permitted. Any other fuel or additive is prohibited.

4. Pull starter must be present and remain stock.

5. Burris slick tire rule, no treaded or siped tires permitted.

6. Minimum age requirement is 13 years old.

7. A Predator 212 box stock motor may be run in the class that is subjected to be teched as above as all above rules apply.

8. No Predator Ghost motors permitted.

CLONE 350 and 400 lbs.: (200lb minimum driver in Clone 400 without gear)

1. Must utilize 2022 or 2023 AKRA Box stock motor rules.

2. Open pipe, muffler required, total exhaust may not extend beyond the rear bumper.

3. Chain guard is mandatory. Open clutch rule, drum or disc clutch permitted.

4. Only 87 octane pump gas is permitted. Any other fuel or additive is prohibited.

5. Pull starter must be present and remain stock.

6. Burris slick tire rule, no treaded or siped tires permitted.

7. Minimum age requirement is 15 years old.

STOCK APPEARING 350 lbs:

1. Any clone, predator or tilly blocks allowed but must have tank ears from factory. Cast blocks and cylinder heads are to have no welding, epoxy or external bracing of any kind that is visible. No billet heads, no billet side covers, no billet valve covers, no valve cover spacers allowed. No 3rd or 4th bearing support allowed. Billet style flywheel required for the class. Only 1 vent on valve cover like stock AKRA with max. inside diameter 3/8. No other ventilation. Can pulse fuel pump off the block, side cover or valve cover but not off the intake side of the head. Can not have hoses between crank case and valve cover. ONE vent, no crossovers. Must run a catch can and not an open vent and no recovery system mounted on the top and front of motor like small block open style. Open header as long as it does not extend past rear bumper and open header have some type of safety flange or lock collar. No 390, mikuni or tillotson carbs and must use the stock black spacer between carb and block.

2. Disc clutches permitted.

3. Hand held starters permitted.

4. Gasoline and Alcohol permitted.

5. Open slick tire rule.

6. No wedge bodies.

7. MOTOR MUST LOOK STOCK AKRA appearance from visual inspection. Race director will have final say on any discrepancies.

8. Minimum age requirement 16 yrs old.
