The Jack Tales Appalachian Stories and Music, a Dinner Theatre

  • North Bend State Park 202 North Bend State Park Road Harrisville, WV, 26362 United States (map)

Appalachian stories and music are at the heart of The Jack Tales, with music by Colleen Anderson and director, Karen Vuranch. The first dinner is served a 6 p.m. and the second dinner at 7 p.m. The play follows both dinners at 8 p.m. at the North Bend Restaurant.

The Jack Tales are traditional mountain stories brought to Appalachia from the Old World. There are hundreds of old stories where "Jack" is the hero. This play brings five of those stories to life.

These stories are comical and provide lots of opportunities for silliness and creativity. At the same time, they rejoice in the uniqueness of Appalachian culture.

Two overnight packages are available: one person, one night lodging, dinner, play, dessert bar and breakfast for $130.32 or two people, one night lodging, dinner, play, dessert bar and breakfast for $180.00.
