So you think you know the Sixties - bell-bottoms and incense, long hair and freedom marches? Think again! Get the juice on what's really going down during this turbulent decade during Winter Wonder Weekend 2018! Join North Bend as they get real about this fascinating decade while you enjoy groovin' winter activities like sleigh riding (weather permitting), winter hikes, tours of the local area, programs, crafts and entertainment.
They are jazzed to have Bill Beatty of Wellsburg, WV, returning to provide an informative and entertaining program Friday evening. Saturday, Ron & Wendy Perrone of Three Rivers Avian Center will join them with their six live raptors for their popular program, Wings of Wonder - West Virginia Birds of Prey - you'll wig out if you miss it! Other weekend activities include jamming with Stepping Stone Band, an ice cream social, hikes, crafts, bingo, door prizes and refreshments.
Whether this decade of change brings to mind the counterculture or civil rights movements, the Cold War or Space Race, you won't leave Winter Wonder Weekend at North Bend State Park without learning something about all the changes, which really went down during the Sixties! Be there or be square!
